Fairvern is a critically important home, providing residential, medical, palliative, nursing and personal care to the residents of Huntsville, Muskoka and East Parry Sound. Fairvern has been providing such excellent care to residents over the past 37 years, and we need to support it as an integral part of the fabric of our community.
Now Fairvern needs our help. Due to the growing demand for services and to meet new guidelines for long term care facilities in the Province of Ontario, Fairvern is rebuilding.
Nestled between Fairy Lake and Lake Vernon on the Muskoka River, Fairvern is Huntsville's not-for-profit long-term care facility, providing over 37 years of high quality care in a home-style environment for its 76 residents.
The building, current housed in the old hospital, is undertaking a redevelopment project to build an enhanced long-term care specialized care home to accommodate the growing needs of an aging population. The new facility will host 96 residents offering nursing and retirement care, reducing current waiting lists.
Paddle for Fairvern is an annual event to raise the essential funds needed to build and equip the new home.
With a strong community and support structure in Huntsville and surrounding areas Fairvern is reaching out, asking for sponsors willing to donate time, services or funds. Fairvern Nursing Home is asking individuals and businesses to sponsor this incredibly important event.
We invite you to participate in the Paddle for Fairvern as a sponsor in this important event to help Fairvern care for our community over the next generation. Donate your support, in whatever way floats your boat!
